Jahred Rice is a Baltimore, Maryland native, where he grew up and found his love for the arts. He is a Poet, Spoken Word Artist, Digital Media Editor, Author, Dancer and Choreographer. Jahred began his pre-professional dance career at the age of 16 years old. After graduating from New Town High School in Maryland; he then moved to Oahu, Hawaii where he trained in Mixed Martial Arts until he relocated to Los Angeles, California to further pursue dance. At 21 years old, Jahred earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at the American Musical Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles, California. He has worked with many amazing dancers and choreographers on many different projects. Jahred has worked with people such as, Vincent Thomas, the director of the dance company VT Dance, and a professor of dance at Towson University; Genevieve Carson; Director of Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company; and Fatima Robinson where he performed for Kanye West’s Coachella Sunday Service. He has taught around the country, including Los Angeles, Baltimore and Waipahu, Hawaii. Jahred is currently living in Baltimore, Maryland as he continues to train and work as a dancer and choreographer along the east coast region.
